A Second-Order Dynamic Friction Model Compared to Commercial Stick–Slip Models

نویسندگان

چکیده

Friction has long been an important issue in multibody dynamics. Static friction models apply appropriate regularization techniques to convert the stick inequality and non-smooth stick–slip transition of Coulomb’s approach into a continuous smooth function sliding velocity. However, regularized force is not able maintain long-term stick. That why dynamic were developed recent decades. The depends herein only on velocity but also internal states. probably best-known representative, LuGre model, based fictitious bristle realizes too-simple approximation. recently published second-order model describes dynamics more accurately. It characteristic, which can due shift regularization. Its performance compared here models, launched ago by commercial software packages. results obtained virtual test-bench practical festoon cable system are very promising. Thus, may serve as alternative models.

Unsteady Magneto Hydro Dynamic Flow of a Second Order Fluid over an Oscillating Sheet with a Second Order Slip Flow Model

Unsteady slip-flow of second grade non-Newtonian electrically conducting fluid over an oscillating sheet has been considered and solved numerically. A second-order slip velocity model is used to predict the flow characteristic past the wall. With the assumption of infinite length in x-direction, velocity of the fluid can be assumed as a function of y and t, hence, with proper variable change pa...

Friction and second-order phase transitions.

A microscopic model is studied numerically to describe wearless dry friction without thermal fluctuations between atomically flat contact interfaces. The analysis is based on a double-chain model with a Lennard-Jones interaction between the chains which are the respective upper flexible monolayers of the rigid bulk systems. Whereas below a critical interaction strength epsilon(c) the system exh...

Second Order Dynamic Inclusions

where F : T × R → CK(R) is a set-valued map and g : T × T → R is a single-valued continuous map (CK(R) denotes the set of nonempty, closed, and convex subsets of R). In Section 3 some general existence principles for inclusions (1.1) are derived by using fixed point theory discussed in [1]. In Section 4 we present a specific function g such that y is a solution of (1.1) if and only if y is a so...

Extending models of second order predicate logic to models of second order dependent type theory

We describe a method for constructing a model of second order dependent type theory out of a model of classical second order predicate logic. Apart from the construction being of interest by itself, this also suggests a way of proving the completeness of the formulas-as-types embedding from second order predicate logic to second order dependent type theory. Under this embedding, formulas are in...
